RMA Policy

Excel Meridian Data, Inc. (EMD) is pleased to offer a standard one year advanced replacement warranty of defective equipment as covered by our warranty terms and conditions with optional upgrades. If you are returning items to EMD under warranty replacement, please note the following:
- All merchandise being returned must be approved by EMD. Please note that if replacement parts are needed, the RMA request must be approved by 2:00 p.m. CST in order to ship the same day, otherwise the item(s) will ship the following business day. Upon approval you will receive an RMA number which must be affixed on the package(s) being returned. Failure to do so may result in your merchandise being refused or incurring restocking fees up to 25%.
- Place a copy of the RMA paperwork provided inside the box being returned.
- Return all items within 10-days of the RMA issue date. If we haven’t received the items within this time frame, your request for credit will be refused and/or an invoice will be sent for the items owed to us.
- Return merchandise via a carrier that can provide you with proof of delivery and insure the item. The customer is responsible for return freight charges.
- Customer holds the responsibility for proper packaging and shipping of equipment to EMD. Items damaged or lost will be the sole responsibility of the customer.
- Items being returned as defective warranty replacements are tested and certified by EMD. Items returned with “No Problem Found” may be subject to a testing and handling fee not to exceed $50 per item.
- EMD reserves the right to replace defective item(s) with an equivalent product having similar technical specifications at our sole discretion.
- International customers will be responsible for the shipping expenses on all RMA equipment.
- All merchandise being returned will be credited based on returned equipment condition and completeness. Actual cost of the freight charges may be billed in the event the invoiced amount was less than the cost.
- All merchandise being returned for credit if authorized for return by EMD, may be subject to a restocking fee up to 25% of the invoiced amount.
- Customers are always responsible for return freight charges for merchandise being sent to EMD.
EMD will pay freight charges to the customer in the event a replacement part is required within the continental United States. Customers outside of the continental United States must pay freight charges both to and from EMD, by providing a FedEx, UPS, DHL or Airborne account number and authorizing us to bill that account.
NOTE: All internal components are serial numbered and tracked for each individual shipment
