Standard 5 Year Maintenance for SecurStor Astra


5 Year warrantyExcel Meridian Data, Inc. (EMD) warranties the equipment purchased to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for five years. The first year includes onsite next business day advance parts replacement. Years two through five are not advance replacement, instead EMD will repair or replace the defective item(s) within 30 days of receipt. The customer is responsible for returning the defective component to EMD.

This warranty is limited to the original registrant and subject to delivery based on prompt payment of your invoice.

Extended Maintenance optional:
You have the option to upgrade any or all of the years two through five to NBD advance replacement, extend On-Site Support Service, or add 24x7 Phone Support. (VIEW pdf)

During the Standard Maintenance Policy Excel Meridian Data will:

  1. Repair/Replace any defective components as deemed by EMD technical support.
  2. For the first year EMD will ship the replacement item(s) within the continental US for no charge to the customer via NBD overnight service and will dispatch an onsite technician upon request.
  3. For years two through five the customer will be responsible for returning the defective item(s) to EMD. Within 30 days of receipt, EMD will repair/replace item(s) and return ship to the customer via ground service at our expense.
  4. You may not alter or modify the equipment without the express written consent from EMD or your warranty will be void.
  5. EMD retains the right to void the warranty or refuse warranty service due to neglect as determined solely by EMD, and/or any modification to the hardware or core software of the solution not provided by EMD, and/or failure to provide the EMD technical support department with all documentation requested concerning the nature of the failure.
  6. Except as expressly set forth above, or as required by statute, no other warranties, either express or implied are made with respect to this equipment.
  7. Your sole remedies and the entire liability of EMD and its suppliers are set forth herein. In no event will EMD or its suppliers be liable to you or any other person for any damages, including incidental or consequential damages, expenses, lost profits, lost savings or other damages arising out of use of or inability to use such equipment.
  8. Any customer outside of the continental US is responsible for all shipping expenses both to and from EMD.

During the optional Extended Maintenance Policy Excel Meridian Data will:

  3. The customer will be responsible for returning the defective item(s) to EMD.
